CSG is a member of WIN/Gallup International, the leading global association in market research and polling. The association published the results of 2014 annual End of Year Survey on Willingness to Fight for their Country, and we are delighted to share with you some interesting findings. This time, our research covers a topic of social interests.
The survey was conducted in Sep – Dec 2014 across 64 countries. A total of 62,398 persons in 64 countries were interviewed on their willingness to fight for their country, 61% of them expressed their willingness, while 27% had opposite views.
Some interesting findings are below:
By Region
Highest willingness: Middle East & North Africa (M.E.N.A.) region (83%)
Lowest willingness: Western Europe (25%)
By Country
Highest willingness: Morocco (94%) & Fiji (94%)
Lowest willingness: Japan (11%)
Hong Kong: 23% are willing to fight for their country
By Demographics
Gender: 52% of women vs. 67% of men are willing to fight for their country
Age: 18-34 years (66%) are the most willing to fight for their country among all age groups
Religion: Muslims (78%) are the most willing to fight for their country among all religions
